Student Council
At Mercy College, we believe that every student has a voice, and every voice deserves to be heard.
Our Student Council is an important part of our school community, providing students with a platform to share their ideas, experiences, opinions, and suggestions. We believe that listening to our students helps us to understand what matters most to them and allows us to work together to make our school an even more positive, welcoming, and inclusive place for everyone.
Our Student Council encourages students to take an active role in school life and to work alongside staff and their fellow students to bring ideas and positive changes forward. From helping to organise school events and activities to raising issues that are important to students, the Council gives students the opportunity to make a real contribution to our school community. Through their involvement, students develop valuable skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, confidence, and responsibility.
Most importantly, our Student Council reflects the belief that students are not simply part of our school community — they help shape it. We are proud to create opportunities for our students to speak up, be listened to, and play an active role in making Mercy College a place where everyone feels valued, respected, and included.
